British Airways starts with the fusion of „Instone“, „Handley Page“, „Daimler Airway“ and „British Air Maine Navigation“ to „Imperial Airways“ on March 31st 1924. Earlier it was the „Aircraft Transport and Travel Limited“, founded in August 25. 1919. On March 31st in 1974 two nationalized airlines corporations, „British Overseas Airways Corporation“ and „British European Airways“, and two regional airlines, „Cambrian Airways“ and „Northeast Airlines“ merged to form the official „British Airways“.
